There are many locations to consider for your wedding ceremony, ranging from the natural outdoors, to venues that offer outdoor & indoor options. Some locations are specifically built/created for weddings but just about any location can be used (with the right permissions). The ceremony location may also be the same as your reception or after celebration, but often it is held in a different location. Many couples like to choose a ceremony location that has special meaning to them, for example it might be the same location where you proposed or where you first met. We've put together some of the popular locations for wedding ceremonies on the Fraser Coast.
Parks & Beaches
The Fraser Coast region has many attractive parks, gardens and beaches where you can hold your wedding ceremony.
Fraser Coast Regional Council looks after 40 different outdoor locations right across the region that can be booked for weddings. There are also seven community halls that can be booked.
To hold a wedding ceremony at one of these locations including the beach, esplanade, parks and gardens, couples must contact Council via their online booking system or call their customer service on 1300 79 49 29. You will also need to specify whether you intend to have alcohol for consumption at the event.
Function Venues
There are lots of venues to choose from for your wedding ceremony. Some venues specialise in weddings and will include the services of a wedding coordinator to help you. Other venues offer outdoor gardens, pools and function rooms which are used for functions and events and can be booked and styled for a wedding.
